The Knox Social Golf Club has always welcomed all Knox Club Members to join our club and that includes ladies and juniors.

At the moment we have approximately 60 members that are playing regularly, we usually have 40 to 45 players each game.

Our activities include a Golf game once a month, and a Presentation night usually around July/August, Christmas breakup, which is usually a fun day for members and their family. We do try to vary the courses we play at, and that includes courses like Trafalgar, Moe, Morwell, and Drouin.

The club has been able to keep the game fees at an affordable level due to a lot of hard work by the committees over the years. You firstly must be a paid up member of the Knox club to join the Golf club, the joining fee to our golf club is $40.00.

You can attend 3 games as a visitor at a cost of $45.00 per game. Nearest the Pin & Longest Drive are held on golf days. As a member the cost is $40.00 per game, with A,B,C grade prizes. Each game includes a hot barbecue breakfast and lunch, the golf game, plus a bus to & from the course.

 We play stableford for most games. A Stableford “Knockout “ game over 6 games, Stroke Club championship game, best of 2 over 3 games plus various other games.

We also support the Anti-Cancer Council with a game each year, The 2010 Cancer Council Charity golf day was held at Dorset golf course on Sunday 14th March. The day was fully supported by the Knox Club & ably supported by the Knox Club Social Golf Club. 140 players attended last year. It was a huge success, due to the assistance of the Knox Club & the hard work of golf club members, management/committee & other sub clubs, particularly the Entertainment group, we raised the great sum of $20,000. Our thanks go out to all the Sponsors of that day, without them it could not have happened, also the management & staff of Dorset golf club.
